What forms of payment do you accept?

Payments can be made with cash, check, Visa, or Mastercard, however, the deposit must be paid with a check only.

How long does it take to rent gear or equipment?

Depending on how many customers we are serving, it can take a short while to complete the process. Renters will also have the opportunity to inspect the gear, which is very highly recommended. Therefore, please allow for at least 15-20 minutes or longer.

How many items can one person rent at a time?

There is no limit. We allow one person to rent various items or multiple of the same item at once (e.g. an individual can rent more than one tent, stove, etc.). Adventure Pass members are limited to one of each item and can rent additional items at the rental rate.

What happens if I lose or break gear?

We pride ourselves in choosing gear that can stand up to those who have never camped before. If something does happen though do not worry we will work with you in figuring out the fairest solution to the problem. Please do not try to hide it from us though as we do a thorough inspection of the camping gear after each rental. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out.

The owner has a wealth of experience and advice about Kilimanjaro and spent a long time ensuring I had the right gear that fitted properly!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I rented some of my gear from this place. It’s located in a shopping complex on the third floor. If the shop is closed, just send a message on WhatsApp and Hans will come and open it for you. Super friendly service, with delivery and pickup of the gear directly to your trekking hotel, and not pricey at all. Highly recommended.

The equipment was in excellent condition some of it even brand new and met European standards in terms of quality and cleanliness. The shop itself is also very well organized and professional.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My experience with Kilimanjaro Rental Gears was amazing! The store owner, Hans, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He picked me and my friends up from our hotel, drove us to the shop, helped us pick out the best gear, drove us to a lunch spot in Moshi, and returned us to our hotel. He also came to our hotel after the climb to pick up our gear, with no extra charge. He was kind, flexible, and knowledgeable. He even congratulated us on our successful climb with a cake! I highly, highly recommend this company if you are looking for quality rental gear for Kilimanjaro!

Therefore I didn’t get the mattress I rented in the end. I added one additional star because the shop owner is a responsible and easy going person to communicate with.
